Why did I start writing about it?
I was born in a beautiful country called Burma which is currently known as Myanmar. But I moved abroad at the age of 8 for my studies.
Every time I meet someone and answer the first question they usually throw at me which is
“So Hey where are you from? ”
Whenever I tell them that I am from Burma(Myanmar), 70% do not really know where the country is. Some do know about it. And usually, their first impression of my country would be something like, it is such a beautiful country with so many cultures and different races. Many said the people there are so kind. Those are all truly beautiful facts about my country, but there’s one truth that the world does not know. The harsh reality of the people living there is that the country is governed by ruthless dictators. In fact, I could not even bring enough words to describe how the rule of dictators works. What the Americans call their rights is a dream that has never existed in Burma. There is no such thing as freedom of speech or human rights. Every single thing is carried out in the best interests of the military dictators. All they do is suck the country out of existence by using every resource available to them to gain personal wealth. The military dictators had always been finding ways to always seize control of the country. Many of you might have heard or stumbled across articles about the recent 2021 military coup d’etat, where the military dictators plotted against the current reining party out of nowhere and arrested the leaders, and seized control of the country. That was not the first time they did that. The recent coup was only reported due to the current technology. The military dictators always come up with ways to take control of the country and they have done it again & again. I would be writing for the people of Burma and sharing my direct opinions about the shameless actions of the Military Dictators as that is all I could do at this moment.
