After the Saffron Revolution, the military dictators still ruled the country by fear. Our people suffer under their rule day by day. The fighting and wars in Kachin state were like a daily routine to the military government. The Kachin state is still keeping up a good fight against them but their forces are getting outnumbered after many years. It was around May 2018, many civilians got together to stand up against the Military government and demonstrated peacefully in Yangon to stop the war and shooting and Kachin State. I sincerely believed that this movement is really crucial to the people suffering in Kachin state, especially the children and women that living in the area amidst of all the shootings and chaos.
But as usual, the military arrested several peaceful demonstrators after their demonstration. I've heard they were tortured and prosecuted unfairly so that they will never try anything to stand up against the military government in the near future. They purposely announced some of those arrest stories to put fear into civilians as well, so that they could still stay in control. As the families that are related to the military government got wealthier the people in the country are suffering and sinking to the ground.
